A Traveling Tribe in Fiji with our guide, Saki

A Traveling Tribe

A Traveling Tribe was established in 2001 (when a boy met a girl and fell in love) and has grown immensely (come on, four kids is A LOT of kids) ever since.  Our immediate tribe resides in Grand Rapids, MI, USA, unless we are out gallivanting, and consists of six individuals (both big and small) who love God, who make conscious choices to love each other daily, who love ALL people to the best of our abilities, and who love the abundance of life that Creation provides.  Together, we seek out adventures in the simplest of moments and in the wildest of ways as we explore the world.

This blog is a place where we will share tales of the chaos, the crazy, and the wonderful adventures on which we find ourselves, including tales of those who are in our greater tribe and those whom we invite into our tribe along the way.  We will share our wonderings, our learnings (is that a word?), our adventuring, and our tales of chasing sunsets and searching for somewhere and everywhere in between!

Our hope is to inspire, to educate, and to simply share our joy of learning about this earth and all that it has to offer with anyone who happens upon our tales of A Traveling Tribe.

Our Extended Tribe

Through location, shared connections, and emphasis on relationship, our greater tribe is vast and wide and deep, spanning oceans and mountains and many miles.  Not only will we be sharing our tales, but we will be inviting our extended tribe to share their traveling tales as well!  Our extended tribe consists of those who are dearest to us and those whom we have just met.  There are no guidelines or qualifications to become a part of this tribe other than a willingness to share your adventures – ALL ARE WELCOME to A Traveling Tribe!!!
